The County of Riverside Economic Development Agency (EDA) has initiated the 2021-2022 CDBG application cycle (for the program year starting July 1, 2021) and issued its Notice of Funding Availability. The County has discontinued using its online application system for all CDBG applications. Hard-copy paper applications for CDBG-funds must now be submitted to the City for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
The City will review and evaluate each application for eligibility and other factors, then present to the City Council its recommendation for final approval considerations on December 1, 2020. The City will then submit its final 2021-2022 CDBG funding selections to EDA no later than December 11, 2020.
Due to COVID, there currently is no CDBG applicant workshop scheduled. Watch this page for more information on a possible virtual event.
The City requires three (3) hard-copy, paper applications (1 signed original and 2 copies) and one Electronic copy submitted by external USB flash drive for the 2021-2022 cycle. Download the CDBG application here. Applicants are required to submit their applications, with all attachments no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020, to the following location:
City of Murrieta Attn: City Manager's Office: CDBG 1 Town Square Murrieta, CA 92562

Online Training EDA has also posted an online training video. Although the posted video is for the 2019-2020 program year, it is highly recommended that organizations that are planning to submit applications for the 2021-22 program year review the training video in order to learn about the required documentation that will be required.
