Homeless Outreach Team

The Murrieta Police Department Homeless Outreach Team (H.O.T.) was created in September of 2017.  This team is comprised of two full time officers who serve a dual role by also working as the Parole/Probation Compliance Team.

These officers are tasked with providing information and referrals to those in need and will work collaboratively with governmental agencies and non-profits that provide assistance to the homeless population in the City of Murrieta.  The long-term goal is to provide the homeless with services that will help them become self-sustainable.

When it is warranted, the team will also focus on criminal behavior through complaint driven and pro-active enforcement.

The Murrieta Police Department's Mission, Values and Vision statement will be the guiding principle of the unit.
